Our Lady of Manaoag in Pangasinan

This post is supposedly published after our 15th Parish Pilgrimage. However, I only have the long weekend which allowed me to blog about it. Huhu. Looking on the brighter side, this weekend has given me an opportunity to do more school works.

It was August 10 when we went to Tarlac and Pangasinan for our 15th Parish Pilgrimage. And when we say Pilgrimage, it was about visiting the church and praying at each places solemnly. It wasn’t a field trip, promise. Anyway, we went to different churches, but then I should be posting about the whole trip, later.

So let the blogging begin! >:)

This is the altar of their church.

Our Parish Priest lead the celebration of the Mass in their Church. We all attended to the Mass. But before this, we went inside their Museum. It was located before the entrance of the Church.

This describes the history and importance of Our Lady of Manaoag in their community.

These two were some of the clothes being used on the statue. We saw these two inside their museum. Aside from these, we also took photos of other statues in the museum. There were lots of them there.

Aside from attending the Mass in Our Lady of Manaoag, you can also do other things within their vicinity. They had this altar behind their altar wherein you can touch the cloth of Our Lady of Manaoag. You should fall in life before you can get there.

You can also light your candles and say a little prayer on this area. If you don’t have any candle with you, you can purchase some on the nearby vendors.

This photo is taken by Duffy. Hihi! Visit his blog? >:)

If you are planning to buy some pasalubong, you can already buy near the church. There are plenty of vendors who are selling different items which are all their specialty. >:)

I am really blessed after visiting this church. What makes this pilgrimage special is the fact that I’m with my grandmother, sister, and boyfriend. Hihi. Aside from being happy, I am truly blessed with these people. We are all hoping to be back at this church.

500 Days of Summer + Silver Linings: Playbook

Since I can’t sleep last night, I decided to watch (finally) 500 days of Summer. It took me so long to decide whether I should watch it or not ‘coz I thought, it’s just another love story. And I was wrong. According to the movie narrator, it’s not just another love story. I apologized. Lol. So here we go.

This movie is a bit humorous. The female character is a little bit weird. The male character? He’s just another hopeless men in love to that woman who wasn’t able to label their relationship. Uhmm, I’m quite confused with the format of the movie because it goes forward, then return to another format. But then, I was able to catch up with the format. And I enjoyed it! 🙂

My rating for the movie is 7/10.

I thought I will feel sleepy after watching this movie. But then, I wasn’t. My senses told me to continue watching Silver Linings: Playbook. I’ve already started watching this movie, but I wasn’t able to finish it. So, I decided to watch this one as well.

At first, I was quite confused with Peter. His attitude is unpredictable and this made his character very strong. Tiffany? I never thought that she will be partnered with Peter. Haha. I thought she will remain as a depressed widow. So, as the story went on, I enjoyed their scenes! Hihi. It’s like me watching Be Careful with my Heart. The two made me ‘kilig’ and I can feel their sweetness. THEY ARE SO ROMANTIC! I almost cried after their confrontation scene. My favorite line is:

Thank you. I love you. Sorry it took so long for me to catch up. I just stocked up.

My rating for this movie is 9/10. I will love watching it again.

This post serves as my first post for the month of May. 🙂 Hurray for May!

The Guardian by Nicholas Sparks (Review)

This book is filled with extraordinary mystery! Each page is composed of elements which make me go over the next pages. I have to admit that it took me few days to finish this book because I chose to read every chapter at the most perfect time and place. Moreover, this book has really made me flip the next pages; it even made me skip some words just because of excitement.

You always have a choice. It’s just that some people make the wrong one.

It was funny how you could know someone for years but will discover something you never noticed before.

Nicholas Sparks has made his book really great. It is filled with theme that is not usually done. Oh, btw, the word “great” is not enough to describe the thrill this book gave me. Honestly, I didn’t let myself to read this during nights. You know, the mystery effect is just there. And I have to admit, I’m kinda coward when it comes to that. Thumbs up for this book. Thumbs up for me, too. 🙂
